Also, for what it's worth, very few type designers draw TTF curves. Although it is possible, most go with some kind of automatic conversion from PS curves, which is usually acceptable.4 -

I think grand, expressive, sophisticated concepts for type tend to fall by the wayside. Take a look at Knuth's Metafont, Multiple Masters, Font Chameleon, TrueType GX, even the advanced features…9 -
